Sidney Sherman Brady House

Sidney Sherman Brady was the son of John T. Brady, a former District Attorney for the Territory of Kansas that moved to Houston in 1856. He married Lennie Sherman, General Sidney Sherman's daughter. The elder Brady was instrumental in expanding the Port of Houston (dredging the area now known as the turning basin) and attracting commerce to the city. Sidney Sherman Brady died at 26 years old in 1910 in a high-speed car accident.
